Before we know it, the holidays will be here and that means lots of family time with great meals bringing them together. There are lots of great recipes out there that are used year after year because they are crowd pleasers. Potatoes Au Gratin is one of them. Cheesy and creamy this will be requested time and time again.

6 medium red potatoes, (you can also use white)
1/2 cup of milk
8-10 oz. of sharp cheese
One medium onion
Add ins: bacon bits, chives, minced garlic
Preheat: 350 degrees

Wash and slice your potatoes into 1/4 inch slices  Chop onions into thin wedges or slivers
Place potatoes and onions into an 8 inch glass baking dish that has been coated with a thin layer of either butter or a non stick cooking spray. Mix in seasonings, add ins, cheese and milk.
Cover and bake for one hour and during the last 15 minutes remove the cover to brown on top.
This recipe is quick and easy and you can also double it to place in a large 9 X 13 inch baking dish for big family dinners.
