Summer will soon be here and the warm temperatures will have us all looking for old time favorites like lemonade. In South Carolina, the temperatures have already crept up to the high eighties, and this great beverage will be a family favorite for any outdoor entertaining and dining.
The key to making this tasty beverage is remembering the lemon juice to water ratio. It is always recommended that you use fresh squeezed lemon juice, but in a pinch bottled lemon juice should work well too.
Remember if you want to cut down the sugar you can replace the sugar with Splenda, or any other sugar substitute.

Makes 4 servings

1/2 cup sugar or to taste

    Ice cubes
    Fresh mint sprigs
    Thinly sliced lemon
