Making your own croutons is easy and tasty and because you can influence the flavors a great way to make your own holiday Turkey stuffing. This recipe will no doubt give you a lot of ideas on how to really bring a true individual recipe to the forefront of your holiday feast. Try making these a few days ahead of Thanksgiving and using in them in the Yummy Turkey Stuffing recipe.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

15-18 slices of stale bread, heavier breads like French bread work great
1/2 cup of melted butter
2- 3 teaspoons of season salt, or garlic salt,or poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon of dried parsley flakes
1 teaspoon of dried sage
1 teaspoon of dried rosemary

Step one:

Trim off of all of the crusts from the bread. You can cut these into cubes as well and keep them in your croutons if you like.
Step two:
Cube the bread into bite sizes.
Step three:
In a large bowl slowly pour in cooled down melted butter  but be sure to only use enough to lightly coat, and toss so that the cubes are coated. Add in your seasonings and stir thoroughly.
Step four:
Place on an un-greased cookie baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
